The Parker Bay Company specializes in providing individualized market research, marketing database development, customer surveys, business planning and related consulting work for companies in the mining, earth-moving and capital equipment industries.

Recognizing that this work cannot always be met with ‘in-house’ personnel, The Parker Bay Company offers the cost-effective option of contracting out specific requirements. Work can be performed on a “turn-key” basis with the client’s involvement limited to project definition and final evaluation. Alternatively, Parker Bay can work closely with a client’s marketing, sales, and other management personnel adding needed manpower, a broader and independent perspective, and a focused work schedule not always available to internal personnel with competing activities and work loads.

Drawing on more than 20 years of experience within the marketing function of a major mining equipment and services provider, the Company’s principal has worked on projects ranging from proprietary database development, new product evaluation, strategic business plan development, acquisition studies, customer and market profiles, and related information gathering and analysis work.

With access to a variety of industry contacts worldwide, as well as on-line business information and database sources, and a strong working knowledge of government, industry, and trade association information sources, Parker Bay can supply external information, data and analysis to complement the proprietary information available from the client.

Qualitative and quantitative analytical work can be done to your specifications. Having worked within an “operating company” environment for many years, Parker Bay’s principal has a hands-on understanding of the practical requirements and applications of business research that is sometimes lacking when dealing with individuals from large consulting firms.
